Is Land Scarcity Increasing Spokane Home Prices
It turns out this good to have problem is driving home prices up in Spokane County.
Local contractors just can't find enough buildable land for sale to keep up with home buyer demands.
City officials are busy creating new plots and issuing building permits.
But they say new homes are being built faster than they can create new subdivisions.
According the Spokane Association of Realtors from 2014 to 2017 the average price of home sales increased by $42, 508.
That's great news for Spokane homeowners looking to sell in 2018.
Addressing the lot scarcity issue the city is proposing several new subdivisions be created. Some ideas include 120 new lot's in the Valley,
Turning approx 10 more acres on Five Mile into subdividable buildable lots, Townhomes to be built on South Hill and the ideas keep coming.
